Actually we are likely to be the only team he has a good career against, cuz Vikings.
But no, I'm so confident that he isn't any good that I don't even think we will be jinxed if we ever play him. I'm as scared of him as I am of Ponder and T-Jump.
After we beat him fans will be raving about what incredible heart he showed, and will trot out the advanced heart statistics.
This presupposes he ever becomes established enough as a starter to play the Vikings. The Vikings are definitely going to play the Saints next year. Teddy Bridgewater, on the other hand, is NOT definitely going to be the Saints starter...no matter what Sean Payton says today or tomorrow.
After all, Mike Zimmer repeatedly said he never wanted anyone but Teddy, and the Vikings promptly made zero effort at all to resign him.
Don't you think it's possible Zimmer decided to move on once Teddy's knee injury happened? Perhaps they decided they didn't have the time to figure out if Teddy could return to 100% while they considered themselves Super Bowl contenders.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I didn't start with a conclusion. I formed an opinion on Teddy after watching him play. And I for one have never ignored anything negative about Teddy. I fully admit Teddy's deep ball accuracy was average at best (albeit with potential to improve).
But I also won't ignore Teddy's sparkling red zone & 4th quarter efficiency. Or his excellent accuracy from short to mid-range. Remember when Teddy set the NFL record for completion percentage by a QB in their first two years? I guess I just don't get why people think there are Teddy "apologists" who feel some irrational need to blindly defend him because he has a smile.
